Telethon started in 1968 and has been held every year since, raising money for the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. It brings together big name performers, Channel Seven celebrities, sporting stars and local radio stars who entertain the live audience and encourage viewers to donate.

The behind-the-scenes intrigues — including, possibly, a murder — of an all-star fundraising telethon set in Las Vegas.

Local TV channel news anchors Nick Roberts and Kelly Snow host the absolute worst holiday telethon to save the network from bankruptcy. The worst talent, the worst acts, a doofus crew, a narcissist weatherman, and its over-the-top station owner, Jon Sampson, create a perfect holiday storm in this Christmas Eve cavalcade comedy.

In a North Pole classroom, Professor Seal is teaching th young seals all about fishing. One little seal would rather practice snowball-juggling and plays hookey, and gets into trouble with the teacher. But back in the classroom a hungry polar bear is waiting to make food out of the seals. The juggling seal does his act and the bear is so impressed that he decides to stay in school and learn to juggle.

A modest and humble curator at the Smithsonian Institute, Paul Taylor (Dean Dawson) is made aware of the value and historical significance of Royal Seals that have been recovered after having been stolen by an American soldier, 50 years earlier, during the Korean War. Mystery and intrigue follows the path of these priceless artifacts return to their rightful location in Korea.
